Beau Rivage is one of the few authentic French restaurants in Bermuda. The outstanding menu has been created by co-owner and award winning chef and author Jean Claude Garzia, who was awarded the highest honour in French cooking, the “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” in 1996.
With the restaurant’s panoramic views of Hamilton Harbour looking over towards the City of Hamilton itself, Beau Rivage is the perfect spot to watch a gorgeous sunset fade to reveal the glittering lights of the city reflected over the water by night.
The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday, and for a heavenly brunch on Sunday. Chef Garzia has created a wonderful menu of classic French dishes, some with an exciting Bermudian twist. Highlights from the appetizer menu include Pan Seared Frog’s Legs or Sautéed Burgundy Escargot in garlic butter sauce, Beef Tenderloin Carpaccio, and a selection of classic French soups.
Diners can select from a mouth-watering menu of main dishes, including Beef Wellington, traditional Steak Au Poivre, and a Surf and Turf of Angus beef tenderloin and jumbo tiger shrimps.
Sea food lovers will not be disappointed with the selection available. The menu features Lobster Bisque, Sautéed Crab Claws, and Fresh Boston Scrod glazed with a Bermudian flavour.
Vegetarian options include Grilled Garden Vegetable Cake, Green Herb Risotto and Vegetable Curry, and there is a selection of classic French desserts available.
Lucky diners could also be seated at a special table for ten in the kitchen, where they can watch Chef Garzia weave his epicurean magic up close.
The Newstead Belmont Hills resort provides a free private water shuttle to the restaurant every 30 minutes, so guests can truly arrive in style.
All prices are subject to 17% service charge.
