There are an abundance of off-site venues to host your event in Bermuda. To give you some ideas of our DMC capabilities, look below at a few locations in Bermuda to host a memorable event.
Fort St. Catherine
Enjoy your event in Bermuda’s largest fort – Fort St. Catherine. It is situated in the eastern end of the island in St. George’s Parish and provides a unique setting. It was built to defend the island against the Spanish, French, and American ships centuries ago. Your guests will have amazing ocean views. A perfect setting for a gala event. It is also part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sit
Brief History
Sea Venture shipwrecked in Bermuda in 1609 and brought the original people that created a colony in Bermuda. Three years after these settlers came, Fort St. Catherine was one of many forts that were built in 1612 and continually redeveloped. It latest upgrades came late in the 19th century when the Royal Navy had a strong presence on the island due to its strategic location in the Atlantic.
One fun and little known fact: During the 1950s the island was promoting Fort St Catherine as one of the island’s main attractions. One year the fort hosted a play showcasing Shakespeare’s Macbeth and starred famous American actor Charlton Heston. This should give you an idea of the type of event you can have here.
Fort Hamilton
Fort Hamilton was once a place that protected Hamilton Harbour from attack. This is why it offers such remarkable views. As you cross the drawbridge over the beautiful garden filled moat and enter the fort, your guests will find themselves on landscaped lawns, perfect for a group event. Inside the fort you will find many of the cannons that guarded Hamilton.
You can also hire an array of local Bermuda characters for your event inside of an old Bermuda fort. They will dress up in period costume mimicking the first settlers to Bermuda while entertaining everyone with tales of Bermuda’s history.
Coral Beach Club
This venue is an exclusive private member’s club where our DMC retains a membership, located on the South Shore, at the water’s edge. This venue is excellent for groups of 20-75.
