The Island Brasserie & Tucker’s Bar in Bermuda, located in the luxury resort of Rosewood Tucker’s Point, showcases the enticing beauty and heritage of Bermuda and offers a unique dining experience. The restaurant specializes in providing multi-national cuisine, created with the finest locally-sourced ingredients, for an incomparable fine dining experience
The elegant atmosphere is further enhanced by the famous 80 feet-long Pan Am Sky Club Mural, which depicts scenes of 1830s Clipper ships in various ports-of-call, including Rio de Janeiro and the Port of London, and provides diners with a fascinating slice of history. The owner of Pan Am, Juan Trippe, commissioned the mural from artist Gerard Henderson, and it hung in the Pan Am Sky Club until its closure in 2005. Juan’s son Ed Trippe, owner of Tucker’s Point, acquired the piece for the restaurant in an auction.
Executive Chef Gerry Adams took inspiration from the mural to create a 10-course epicurean journey, utilising the culinary style and ingredients of the 19th century ports to create an unforgettable meal, which includes dishes such as Caiparihuas and ceviche from Rio de Janeiro, and the classic Bermudian Fish Chowder.
The restaurant serves at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the friendly and attentive staff ensure every diner has a pleasant and memorable experience.
The starter menu features an appetizing array of dishes, including Maine Lobster and Swordfish Carpaccio, Georges Bank Scallops, and Crispy Duck Egg served with smoked bacon, asparagus, and parmesan.
Diners can select from a wide range of enticing main dishes, such as Amaretto Crusted Lamb Loin, Alaskan Black Cod, and a Trio of Fine Pastries.
A selection of rich and delicious desserts is available, with Chocolate and Hazelnut Ganache, Greek Yogurt Parfait, and Chocolate Soufflé amongst the favorites.
Guests can choose to dine in the exquisitely decorated Dining Room, the Terrace with its unparalleled views over the water, or The Wine Room, where thousands of bottles are stored from floor to ceiling, creating a wonderful and intimate atmosphere for dinner parties.
